יוסי גרין: "ערב אחד שישבתי בביתי ולפתע שמעתי נקישה בדלת, בפתח עמד יצחק לשינסקי, שפנה אליי בבקשה שגרמה לי פשוט לרצות לחבק אותו.
הוא סיפר לי שאשתו מיכל נפטרה לפני שנתיים בגיל צעיר במיוחד ממחלה קשה וכי בקרוב בנם הבכור עומד להיכנס תחת לחופה. "קראתי את הספר שלך "מנגינת חיי" ואני מרגיש שרק אתה יוסי תצליח להביא ברגישות ובחום שלך את הרגשות שצריך בשיר שיספר קצת על מיכל ע"ה ויזכיר אותה בצורה הנכונה בחתונה".
הבקשה ריגשה אותי במיוחד, פניתי לתמלילנית מרים הנדלר שכתבה את המילים ורק לאחר סיום העבודה היא נזכרה שהכירה את מיכל ע"ה, דבר שהיה מרגש עוד יותר. השיר לו הוקלטה גרסה ראשונית על ידי צמד המעבדים המוכשרים אלי קליין ואיצי ברי, הושר בחתונה על ידי החתן והנוכחים שלא יכלו לעצור את דמעותיהם.
לאחר החתונה, פניתי לזמר שלמה שמחה, שהגיע ושר את השיר עם כל הרגש, כפי שרק הוא יודע, ואני גאה במיוחד בתוצאה המרגשת".
