glass usage for ashkenazim

Shalom kevod harav.
I am an shkenazik jew. What is thehalacha regarding glass that was used for milk. i mean a glass jar. that i mixed borsht with sour cream in it. Can i rinse it off and use it to put chicken soup in it? lso can you use a dairy sponge to wash it or not?

To the questioner,
Among the Sfardim glass may be used interchangebly.
Among Ashkenazim - although some are lenient - one should preferably not use the same glass utensil interchagibly, but rather he should have separate glass utensils.
